How To: Make Different Lists on Facebook

If you are like me you have over 100 couponing pages on your personal facebook. Here is a tutorial on how to make lists that you can use to sort your friends, family, and pages to be able to see them seperatley.

Steps
  1. Go to the lists page.

  2. Click on the "Create a List" button towards the upper right of the page.
  3. Type in the name of the list. Click "Create List".
  4. Click "Add Friends".

  5. Select the friends you'd like to have on that list, then press "Done".
  6. Go to your privacy settings.
  7. Choose "Custom" from the default privacy options.
  8. Choose "Specific People or Lists" from the dropdown menu.
  9. Type the name of your new list and press "Save Setting". From now on, anytime you post an update, this list will be the default people who can see it.

Tips

  • Here are the types of groups that might be useful to create:
    • Family members
    • Co-workers
    • Locals - If you post a status update that's only relevant to your location, you might want to choose to have only this group see it.
    • Interest-specific - Let's say you're an entomologist; when you post a link about insect evolution, or an album of dung beetles mating, you might want to spare the rest of your friends and have only your fellow entomologists see them.
